GREENSEAL 701 SBR COMPOUND
Excellent Waterproof Adhesive Bonding Agent
Description
GS 701 SBR Compound, the modified styrene butadiene copolymer latex is a modified bonding compound with enhanced polymer modified system that specially designed for bonding as well as repairing purposes.. It can be used as a water & vapour resistant coat and also an excellent bonding agent for slip bricks, coping stones, kerb stones tiles to many kinds of substrates such as glass & asphalt..
Uses
This special bonding agent that with excellent thermoplasticity effect is able to generate the flatness and gloss level of improvement to bond tiles and concrete repair, to resist water, water vapour, oil, grease and even chemical. When it is mixed to cement mortar, it forms polymer modified system that provide exceptional adhesion..
It is suitable use in :- Bonding coat prior to application of renders, plaster, or screeds.
- Bonding slip bricks, tiles, coping stone to many kinds of substrate.
- Repairing floors beams, precast slabs.
- Repairing spalled concrete, patching floors.
- Fixing slip blicks.
- Waterproofing above & below grade, and etc.
Advantages
- Resistant to water, water vapour, oil, grease and chemical.
- Wet rub resistant.
- Excellent adhesion.
- Improve tensile, flexural and compressive strength of substrate.
- Non-toxic.
- Can be used even the substrate in damp and wet conditions.
- Enhance abrasion resistance.
- Non-corrosive to reinforcing steel
- Non-shrink
- Suitable in use on verticle and Horizontal surfaces.

Method of Statements
Take note of the below surface preparation:
- Surface of the substrate must be completely free of oil, grease, dust, paint, plaster, dust, laitance and other deleterious substances.
- Use high pressure water blasting gun or grit to remove laitance.
- Smooth surface should be roughened by scabbling machine or needle gun to form a good mechanical key.
- Corroded reinforcing steel should be exposed around it’s full circumference and cleaned to remove all loose scale and corrosion deposits.
- The prepared substance should be thoroughly dampened down with clean water until uniformly saturated with no surface water.
- Edges of the areas for repair must be saw cut to avoid feather edging.
Mixing
- Ideal bonding slurry by mixing 2 parts cement to 1 part SBR compound.
- Stir the mixture to lump free.
Application
- Use stiff brush to apply the bonding slurry to the surface of the prepared dampened substrates.
- Beware of pinhole. Ensure the pinhole are all covered or brush off by the bonding slurry.
- Ideal thickness of the bonding slurry should not excess 2 mm.
- Ideal coat thickness for vertical surface (render), 6mm is advisable. The required thickness can be achieved by applying several coats and each success coating will usually be done within 15 to 30 minutes.
- If second coating is necessary, it must be applied after the first coat flash off.
- Note that when applying the bonding slurry, it must be in the wet condition.
- Finishing can be done by using a wooden float or steel trowel to close the surface to a required finish.
Curing
- It is preferable to cure GS 701 SBR compound modified mortars as soon as they are laid to prevent rapid evaporation of water and essential for hydration.
Cleaning
Clean tools and equipments immediately with water before the material hardened.. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Packaging: 20 Liter per pail
